Giving Local and Military Children in Need a Christmas to Remember Since 2016

Our Mission

We are dedicated to giving families in need a Christmas to remember through the donations of gifts and time from volunteers.

How to Help

This Christmas season we have committed to providing needed items to every family in a local community that provides free preschool to families in need - that’s over 130 families who have asked for help for their families. We are also humbled to be able to give back to our Military members by supporting families of fallen or wounded military members as well as families staying in ALIVE House Shelter in Alexandria. To ensure that all of these families have gifts under the tree, we are providing presents and Target gift cards in mid-December to all 150+ families.

  • We have Santa wish lists from families so you can purchase and wrap gifts with your family. Go to our Family Member Adoption page to adopt one of our family members in need. Family Member Adoption Sign-up.

  • With a $200 donation, you can sponsor an entire family for Christmas. Donate here to give a family a Target gift card 2 weeks before Christmas in order to purchase their own gifts for their family. Or donate any amount to help us! Donate here.

  • Volunteer to wrap donated gifts or to help us deliver gifts to families on Christmas Eve and other opportunities. EMAIL operationchristmashope@gmail.com for information on upcoming opportunities.

  • Donate a Target gift card through our Target gift registry for any amount. This Target gift card will be given directly to a family so they can purchase their own gifts for Christmas.

Who We Are

In 2016, Robert and Rebecca Fisher, local Alexandrians for over 20 years, founded Operation Christmas Hope with the simple idea of giving Christmas to children and their families in our local community who do not have the means to have their own Christmas. This community and faith-based organization collects and wraps donated gifts for local families such as toys, winter clothes, winter coats, hats and gloves, blankets, bikes, games, kitchen necessities, etc., and then volunteer Santas deliver the gifts to those families on Christmas Eve as a surprise to the children in the home. Since 2016, OCH has been able to give hundreds of deserving families an unforgettable Christmas and we plan to serve over 140 new families this Christmas.
