Operation Christmas Hope

What we do

Robert and Rebecca Fisher launched Operation Christmas Hope (OCH) in 2016 with the simple idea of giving Christmas to children and their families in our local community who might not have a Christmas. OCH is community and faith-based organization that is modeled after a similar non-profit in Sacramento, CA, called Christmas Promise. Christmas Promise provided a lifetime of memorable Christmases to thousands of children during the 30 years they were in existence.  We hope to do the same with OCH.  Since the non-profit was started, we have been able to give over 100 deserving families an unforgettable Christmas and our goal is to serve even more families in 2019.

Robert Fisher

Founder & Chairman

When he’s not dressed up as a Santa, Robert is Senior Vice President of Government Relations for Verizon Communications. Prior to Verizon, Robert served as Director of Government Relations for ClearChannel Communications (now iHeartMedia) and served as a Professional Staff Member on the Senate Commerce Committee for then Chairman John McCain. Robert graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Arizona State University. Robert came up with the idea to start Operation Christmas Hope (OCH) after listening to an experience his wife, Rebecca, had serving at a similar non-profit called Christmas Promise in Sacramento, CA.  Robert is very proud of the work his children, Savannah and Cole, put into the family non-profit and hopes to grow OCH in order to serve more people in the Alexandria area.

Rebecca Fisher

Founder and Executive Director

Rebecca is President of RJF Consulting, Inc. which provides communications and business services for government and public relations firms in Washington, D.C. Prior to founding RJF Consulting, Rebecca served as a Communications Director and Press Secretary for Senators John McCain, Kay Bailey Hutchison, John Ensign, the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the Federal Communications Commission. She spends the rest of her time running the day-to-day operations for OCH and caring for their children, Savannah and Cole.
